What should a white-label GEO content review return?
Return the complete candidate, current baseline, included and excluded edits, and decisions requiring renewed confirmation. The client reviewer checks facts and permitted wording within the agreed remit; the agency editor checks how the title, body and intended use fit together. Both sets of comments need to identify the same candidate before the agency accepts the copy.
The finished-deliverable guide helps define the material being supplied. The additional merge question is whether approvals that worked separately remain valid together. Identify final content decision authority in the delivery responsibility sheet.
Trace the dependency behind each decision
Attach the base_version, changed passage and original decision to every proposed edit. Open the actual baseline instead of relying on a filename.
Non-overlapping edits can still affect the same meaning. A headline's audience may depend on a restriction in the body. A summary's capability statement may depend on a condition in another paragraph. Textual conflict detection alone cannot assess those relationships.
For bilingual revisions, the Chinese–English review guide helps locate the relevant sentence. A merge review then checks whether its meaning dependencies still hold.
Inspect one combination before accepting it
A tool described as limited to operators with administrative permission conflicts with a headline that says any employee can perform the task (illustrative wording). The body uses the revised scope; the headline edit uses an earlier version. Another edit merely divides an unchanged paragraph.
Combining the broad headline with the narrower body creates a contradiction. The headline's earlier approval relied on an audience scope that no longer holds, so return that wording for a fresh decision. The paragraph split may remain usable if the limitation stays beside the capability it qualifies.
Mark the affected decision RECONFIRM_REQUIRED, with its former basis, changed condition and exact wording to reconsider. Explain why an unaffected decision remains applicable. The date of an approval cannot establish that the reviewer saw a restriction introduced later; a later message does not automatically displace an unrelated decision either.
Submit the candidate and inspect it in reverse
Supply the accessible candidate_version and its base_version, showing the complete difference from the current baseline. Include excluded edits and their reasons so the reviewer can assess what was actually assembled.
The approval response should identify that candidate and its intended use. If only a narrower version can proceed, submit that actual version. Approval of a complete document should not stand in for review of an extract that omits an essential condition.
Before handoff, trace a changed sentence back to the included edit and baseline that support it. Then pick an excluded edit and check that its claim has not re-entered through a headline or summary.
This reverse check should identify the basis of each material claim, unresolved dependencies and the copy confirmed by the relevant reviewers. The next editor can then work on a specific unresolved issue instead of reconstructing a decision from message order.
