Short answer
An AI brand visibility tracker asks AI assistants the questions your buyers ask and records whether your brand is named. The free tracker below checks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Qwen, Doubao and DeepSeek with real category questions, shows your mention result and the competitor named most often instead, and can re-test every week.
- Enter your website and category; results arrive in about 2–3 minutes, no sign-up.
- You see which engines name you and which competitor they recommend instead.
- Turn on the weekly re-test to track the trend (first week free).
- Covers China’s three biggest AI assistants too, which most Western trackers skip.
What the tracker measures
One AI answer is an anecdote. A tracker turns many answers into a few numbers you can compare week to week. These are the fields in the short result and the emailed full report:
| Metric | What it tells you | Where it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Named or not, per engine | Whether each of the 6 assistants mentions your brand for your category questions | Short result |
| Mention rate | Answers naming you ÷ answers collected. The core visibility number | Short result + report |
| Most recommended instead | The competitor named most often, and how often versus you | Short result |
| Answer-by-answer detail | The exact wording each engine used about you and rivals | Full report (email) |
| Sources the AI read | Which sites the answers relied on — review pages, comparisons, Reddit threads, your own site | Full report (email) |
| Next steps | Three concrete fixes ranked by likely impact | Full report (email) |
| Trend | How mention rate moves after each change you make | Weekly re-test |
We do not show a single blended “AI visibility score”. A score hides which engine dropped you and why; per-engine mention rate plus the cited sources is what you can act on.
Weekly tracking: free re-test or managed monitoring
AI answers drift as engines update models and as the web pages they read change. Two ways to keep watching:
| Weekly re-test (self-serve) | Managed AI brand monitoring | |
|---|---|---|
| How to start | Run the check above, then tick “Turn on weekly re-test” | Brand monitoring service |
| Cost | First week free | Quoted per brand and market |
| Questions | Your category questions | A buyer-question set agreed with you, per market and language |
| Coverage | The 6 AI engines | The 6 AI engines plus Reddit, review sites and comment sections |
| Output | Automatic email report | Weekly reconciled report with evidence, alerts on wrong facts, and fix recommendations |
If the tracker shows a competitor winning because of community threads or review pages, that is usually a sourcing problem rather than a website problem — see Reddit community marketing and GEO · AI search optimization.
Method: how the tracker asks the AIs
- Category questions, not brand questions. Asking “What is Brand X?” only tests whether an engine knows you. Buyers ask “What is the best power bank for travel?”. The tracker builds questions from the category you enter, so it measures whether you get recommended, not just recognised.
- Six engines in parallel. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini cover most Western AI search use; Qwen (千问), Doubao (豆包) and DeepSeek cover China, where QuestMobile counted 499 million monthly users of AI apps in June 2026 (IT之家, 2026-07-14).
- Brand extraction. Each answer is parsed for brand names, then matched against your domain and name so variants (“Anker”, “anker.com”) count once.
- Rates, not single answers. Results are expressed as counts out of answers collected (for example “named in 3 of 6”), so you can compare runs.
- Limits we state openly. The free check is a short sample. It does not log in as a user, does not include personalised history, and cannot see answers from apps we do not query (for example Microsoft Copilot or Google AI Overviews). For those, follow our guides to Copilot and AI Overviews.
AI visibility tracker options compared
The top-ranking guides for this query each list paid platforms. Rather than repeat vendor claims we could not verify, here is how the main kinds of tracker differ. Check each vendor’s current pricing page before buying.
| Option | Examples | China AI engines | Free to try | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Manual prompting | Asking ChatGPT yourself | Only if you have accounts | Yes | A first look; not repeatable |
| SEO rank trackers with AI add-ons | Keyword.com and similar | Usually no | Trial | Teams already tracking Google rankings |
| Social listening tools with AI modules | Brand24 and similar | Usually no | Trial | PR teams watching mentions across media |
| Dedicated AI visibility platforms | Profound, Peec AI and others (see 7 compared) | Rarely | Varies | Large prompt sets, dashboards, many brands |
| This tracker | MaxGrowth | Yes — Qwen, Doubao, DeepSeek | Yes, no sign-up | Cross-border brands that sell in both the West and China |
Where this tracker is weaker: it runs a short question sample, not thousands of prompts, and it has no multi-brand dashboard. If you need that scale, a dedicated platform or our managed monitoring is the better fit.
What to do with the result
| What you see | Likely cause | First fix |
|---|---|---|
| Not named by any engine | AI crawlers blocked, or no third-party coverage | Run the AI crawler checker; get listed on the comparison pages for your category |
| Named by Western engines, not Chinese ones | No Chinese-language sources about you | Publish Chinese pages and earn coverage on platforms Doubao and DeepSeek read — see China search engines |
| A competitor named far more often | They own the Reddit threads and review pages AI cites | Check the sources in the full report; join those discussions honestly |
| Named, but with wrong facts | Outdated pages or forum posts | Correct your own pages first, then the third-party source |
| Named only on Perplexity | Perplexity searches live; others lean on older sources | Keep going — other engines tend to catch up as sources spread |

FAQ
What is an AI brand visibility tracker?
It is a tool that asks AI assistants the questions your buyers ask, then records whether your brand is named, how often, next to which competitors, and which sources the answer relied on. Running the same questions on a schedule turns one snapshot into a trend.
Is this AI visibility tracker free?
Yes. The check on this page is free with no sign-up, limited to 2 checks per network per day. The full answer-by-answer report is sent by email if you ask for it, and the first week of automatic weekly re-tests is free.
Which AI engines does the tracker check?
Six: ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini for Western markets, plus Qwen, Doubao and DeepSeek for China. Most paid trackers cover the Western engines only.
How is “mention rate” calculated?
Mention rate is the number of AI answers that name your brand divided by the number of answers collected for your category questions. We report it per engine and overall, and show which competitor was named most often instead.
Why do AI answers change from run to run?
AI assistants sample their wording and, when they search, read live web results that change daily. That is why one prompt run is not a measurement. Track a fixed question set repeatedly and compare rates, not single answers.
How do I improve my AI brand visibility after tracking it?
Fix crawler access first (check it with our AI crawler checker), then make sure the pages AI cites for your category — reviews, comparisons and community threads such as Reddit — describe you accurately. Re-test weekly to see which changes moved the rate.
